Advanced Laboratory of Nanoscopies and Spectroscopies

Electron microscopy represents one of the basis of research in nanomaterials, without which advances in different fields, like materials for a sustainable energy (solar cells, hydrogen storage) or nanostructured photonic materials, etc., were not possible. A precise characterization of its microstructure that allows to control the synthesis and tailor properties is needed.

LANE, the Advanced Laboratory of Nanoscopies and Spectroscopies, is the result of a synergy between the NanoMatMicro group and the general electron microscopy service at the Materials Science Institute of Seville (CSIC-Univ. Sevilla) financed by the European Commission and Junta de Andalucía with the support of different companiesand research groups, both national and international.

LANE has as objectives to provide technical services, being an open facility allowing access to companies and researchers interested in LANE facilities and, on the other hand, to generate excellent research making of ICMS a national and international reference in the characterization of materials.
