Nanostructured Materials and Microstructure Group
The NanoMatMicro laboratory is integrated into the Institute of Materials Science of Seville, a joint centre of the Spanish Research Council CSIC and the University of Seville.
The laboratory develops its research within the CSIC scientific area A6: Science and Technology of Materials.
Main scientific objectives of the laboratory are:
- Development of sputtering technology for manufacturing supported nanostructures. Mainly coatings with controlled porosity, catalytic coatings and nanocomposite structures. Thin-Film and coatings Technology.
- Development of materials, catalysts and photocatalysts for hydrogen storage, hydrogen production and catalytic combustion of Hydrogen. Hydrogen Technology.
- Microstructural and chemical charaterization of materials. Mainly using advanced electron microscopy facilities, in conjuction with other techniques such as XPS spectroscopy or X-Ray diffraction. Nanoscopies and Spectroscopies.
